The Olympic 3027HE is a large-capacity oval kiln engineered for high-volume production and firing oversized or uniquely shaped ceramic work that cannot fit in standard round or square kilns. With generous inside dimensions of 42″ wide × 30″ front-to-back × 29″ deep and a total capacity of 17.7 cubic feet, this kiln is ideal for professional studios, schools, and production environments.
Constructed with durable 3″ brick insulation, the 3027HE includes a 2″ blank brick row in the first section of the kiln to protect heating elements during loading and unloading. The kiln is rated to fire up to Cone 10 (2350°F / 1288°C), delivering consistent, high-temperature performance.
This model features Olympic’s proven electrical box design with integrated heat shields and top and bottom perforations to keep electrical components cool. Balanced heating elements ensure even heat distribution throughout the firing chamber under all firing conditions. The kiln operates on either 208V or 240V power and is available in both single-phase and three-phase configurations. It is direct-wired and requires breaker sizes ranging from 70 to 120 amps depending on voltage and phase. Recommended copper wire size is #4, or #2 for circuits longer than 40 feet.
The 3027HE comes fully equipped with essential kiln accessories, including a metal stand, stainless steel jacket, lid lift assist, pilot light, and the Bartlett KilnStar digital controller—allowing you to begin firing immediately with a professional-grade setup. A one-year limited kiln warranty is included for Cone 10 models.
